Khris Condon serves as Program Coordinator for the SpeakUP! Prevention Coalition. Originally from Hibbing, MN, Khris has lived in Lake Forest/Lake Bluff for the past 20 years. Khris graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a B.A. in Computer Science and a Minor in Psychology. Prior to having a family, Khris worked in database marketing in the banking industry and then benefit administration outsourcing.
After starting a family, Khris shifted her energies to volunteering in the Lake Forest and Lake Bluff communities. The Program Coordinator position will utilize Khris’ community leadership experience in which she worked with the tri-district (Lake Forest, Lake Bluff Elementary Schools and Lake Forest High School) administrators, teachers and parents to share knowledge and experiences of learning disabilities and differences, as well as raising money for the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Learning Disabilities Association “Make A Difference” Grant Program. Additionally, Khris was a member of Spirit of 67 Grant Committee.
Khris believes it takes a village to develop families with healthy, functional, socially adept children. Strong families are one of the keys to keeping children on track to stay away from drugs, alcohol, and risky behavior and to make healthy decisions that will last a lifetime. The Speak UP! Prevention Coalition is an excellent way to make an impact on the lives of youth, families and our community as a whole. Khris lives in Lake Forest with her husband Tom, and their three children.
